It's quite evident that decorating trends slow down in time. A new trends starts running side by side, the race gets closer, and eventually a new trend emerges. We have enjoyed the wonderful Farmhouse Style for a while now, and for some it will be the one and only. But with all trends that feature primarily white and all it's shared shades, humans start craving the color we all need in our lives. And that is exactly what is happening to kitchens today.
The one to the right is a nod to years gone by but full of today's modern features. The kitchen in the home where I was born was yellow like this, with that ivy wallpaper border at the top that we all know, and trimmed in red. Don't laugh, it was really pretty. My mother also had a yellow Buick at that same time with dark red leather seats. That was the classic style in the late 40s and early 50s. I'm sure this is why I am drawn to this particular kitchen. I can just see a grandmother there baking cookies for a bunch of grand kids asking are they done yet? It's a happy kitchen, and so full of love.
In this slideshow you will see a few of the trending designer colors.
