This transformation in my appreciation was not solely due to the stunning colors that Mother Nature generously provides ... those breathtaking hues of deep crimson, golden yellow, and burnt orange that blanket the landscape ... but also because of the much-needed respite from the intense heat and humidity that characterize a Georgia summer. The sweltering temperatures often felt oppressive, and the arrival of Fall brought a refreshing coolness that was both invigorating and comforting.
